poorcoder is a collection of small, composable Bash scripts built around a specific gap: a lot of developers pay for a web-based Claude or Grok subscription but want to use it like a terminal coding tool instead of copying code back and forth by hand. Each script does one narrow job, following the Unix philosophy rather than bundling everything into one monolithic CLI.
The pieces include context, which gathers relevant code snippets to paste into a chat UI; apply-md, which parses an LLM's markdown response and writes the resulting code changes back to local files; git-context, for generating useful context around a commit; and autocommit, which drafts AI-assisted commit messages. Together they approximate what a dedicated API-based tool like Aider does, but built entirely around a subscription chat interface instead of metered API calls.
It supports both repository-level and project-level installation, and being a handful of shell scripts rather than a packaged application, it's easy to read, modify, and extend for anyone comfortable editing Bash directly.
