org-ai turns Emacs org-mode into an AI interface using #+begin_ai ... #+end_ai blocks. Inside one of those blocks, you can generate text with ChatGPT, Claude, LLaMA, or Perplexity, generate images with DALL-E or Stable Diffusion, or use speech input and output through Whisper, all without leaving the editor you're already working in.
It supports project-wide operations that can act across multiple files, noweb-style code inclusion so snippets from other parts of a document can feed into a prompt, and inline diffs for reviewing AI-suggested changes before accepting them. That makes it a genuine coding assistant for Emacs users rather than just a chat window bolted onto the editor.
It's a community project built for a specific, dedicated audience: people who already live in Emacs and want AI without switching to VS Code or a browser tab to get it.
