Grok Build is xAI's agentic CLI for coding, launched in early beta in May 2026. It lives in your shell, drafts a reviewable plan before touching files, edits across a repo, runs commands, and can split larger jobs across concurrent subagents using git worktrees so parallel edits don't collide. It also runs headless for CI. Access is currently gated to SuperGrok and X Premium Plus subscribers. It competes directly with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Gemini CLI.
